Certificate of Origin

A Certificate of Origin Form is a signed document required in international trade by foreign governments. The form states the country of origin of the exported products of a particular shipment. The country of origin is not where the product has been shipped from but the country where the good was actually manufactured, or last underwent a significant modification.

The C.O is required by certain importing countries in order to classify goods in the customs regulations of that country so that the price of duty can be defined. Additionally, it is used for statistical and quota purposes & health regulations.
